When to stop caffeine, by bedtime
The cutoff is not a fixed hour. It depends on when you go to bed and on how much caffeine is in the cup. Find your bedtime in the first column and read across.

Each bedtime has its own page with the cutoff for all 36 drinks, the answer in milligrams, and what changes if you clear caffeine slowly. The times are for an average adult and assume the drink is the only caffeine still in your system.
A rule such as no coffee after 2 pm works for one drink and one bedtime. It is late for a cold brew and early for an espresso. Counting back from your bedtime by the time a dose needs to clear gives an answer that holds for both.
